Joseph Cresalia is the President of Cresalia Jewelers – a San Francisco institution that has been serving the Bay Area with jewelry needs for over 100 years under the same family.

Joe graduated from the University of Denver where he met his wife, Maryanne. They both had a love for the great outdoors so moved to Alaska where Joe fished king crab commercially and Maryanne started a pre-school and fished salmon. After three years of wilderness living and off-season world travels, Joe became a student at the Gemological Institute of America. Following his studies, Joe returned to San Francisco to get practical gemstone work at Cresalia Jewelers. He became the President and today, each of his nine children has taken an active interest in the history and success of Cresalia Jewelers. They all share their individual talents to continue the family tradition on the way to pursuing their own careers.

Joe joined the Roots of Peace Board of Directors in December 2014 and has a long philanthropic history. He was on the Board of San Francisco Family Enrichment for 15 years and was active with the YMCA Youth Program for 20 years. He is currently the Grand Knight for the Central Marin Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, and has also been involved with children’s sports for twenty-five years. An avid out-door enthusiast, Joe and Maryanne live in Marin County.
